Microsoft has officially released a tool, called Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool (WUDT), which allows the creation of a bootable USB installer for its Windows 7 OS. USB installer provides the convenience for installation of the Windows 7 on netbooks, which eliminates the need to hook up an external DVD drive.

The Microsoft tool allows you to create a bootable installer using the downloaded install files on a USB flash drive or USB HDD that has sufficient capacity. The tool is currently available on Microsoft online store for download and purchase.
